About Me
A project about finding and giving joy in everyday life
Hi, I am Jocelyn Yap, one of the students in NAFA (Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Currently, I've been doing this small project from my course, Illustration Design with Animation, where I learn how to animate, design a book, and learned a bit of marketing strategy to make this project successful.
Through this project, I made 3 kinds of art with different but related stories to express my topic, which is Urban Poverty. The first one is animated trailer. It is about disrespectful rich boy bullied a poor hardworking new student and fall in love each other.
The second one is the children's book. It is about a children from a rich family having lesson of how to start helping poverty. This book will help children, especially around 8-12 years old, to understand more about urban poverty. This book will share some knowledge with full experience. Please enjoy the book!
Lastly is my trans media which is on Instagram. It is a story of a woman posting her diary about her life that is related to poverty from before to after she moved to city until she made a new family in purpose of changing everyone's mindset about poverty.
Through this project, I hope all of us will have a better understanding of different kinds of social issue and willing to help!
